Kim Drumm

Founder & CEO — Willow Leadership LLC

Kim Drumm is an accomplished speaker, leadership trainer, women’s safety instructor, and the founder of Willow Leadership, an organization dedicated to empowering women to lead with confidence, resilience, and purpose.

Drawing from more than 28 years of leadership experience in law enforcement and public service, Kim equips audiences with practical tools to navigate adversity, strengthen their leadership, and thrive through life’s most challenging seasons. Her message is rooted in a powerful lesson she learned firsthand: storms don’t build character—they reveal it.

That lesson became deeply personal just twenty days after being promoted to Major with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, when Kim found herself serving as Incident Commander during one of the most significant law enforcement crises in Charlotte’s history. Leading through uncertainty, intense public scrutiny, and high-stakes decision-making reinforced a truth she now shares with audiences: true leadership is revealed when the pressure is greatest.

As a Major with the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, Kim has spent nearly three decades leading teams, developing future leaders, and serving her community with integrity and courage. She is an ABLE Certified Instructor, Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) Instructor, and recipient of the North Carolina Sheriff’s Standards Advanced Certificate. She also holds an Administrative Management Certificate, further strengthening her expertise in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and professional growth.

While her professional accomplishments are significant, Kim’s leadership philosophy was shaped just as much by personal adversity as it was by professional success. As a survivor herself, she understands what it means to rebuild after hardship, find strength in difficult seasons, and emerge stronger than before. These experiences are the foundation of Willow Leadership and fuel her passion for helping women discover their own resilience and potential.

Whether speaking on leadership, resilience, personal growth, or women’s safety, Kim combines authentic storytelling, practical strategies, and hard-earned wisdom to create meaningful transformation. She is passionate about helping women recognize their value, trust their voice, and lead boldly in every area of their lives.

Beyond the stage, Kim is a devoted wife to her husband, Shane, of more than 20 years, a proud mother of two children, and grandmother to one granddaughter. A follower of Jesus Christ and active member of her church council, she believes that leadership begins with serving others, living with integrity, and remaining rooted in purpose through every season of life.

She has also served as a volunteer pregnancy counselor and advocate for women facing difficult circumstances. Through her faith, personal experiences, and nearly three decades of leadership in public service, Kim is passionate about helping others recognize their worth, trust their voice, and lead with courage and purpose.

Whether speaking to corporate leaders, community organizations, schools, or women’s groups, Kim’s mission remains the same: to help people deepen their roots, navigate life’s storms, and discover that they can bend without breaking.

Bend Don't Break

The storm didn't come to destroy you. It came to reveal what you're rooted in.

Most people spend their lives hoping to avoid storms.

The strongest leaders learn something different.
They learn that pressure reveals.
Change reveals.
Loss reveals.
Uncertainty reveals.

The storm does not create who you are.

The storm reveals who you have become.

Whether you're leading an organization, a business, a team, a family, or simply navigating a difficult season of life, the question is not whether a storm will come.

“What will be standing when it does?”

In this powerful keynote, Kim Drumm challenges audiences to rethink adversity, pressure, and uncertainty. Through authentic storytelling, practical leadership lessons, and the proven W.I.L.L.O.W. Framework, attendees learn how to develop the resilience, adaptability, and purpose necessary to navigate life's most difficult seasons.

Because when the winds rise, shallow roots fail. Deep roots endure.

After This Experience, Audiences Will:

  • Understand how pressure reveals leadership rather than creates it
  • Know why resilience must be developed before the storm arrives — not during it
  • Navigate uncertainty without losing focus, purpose, or direction
  • Recognize the difference between merely surviving a storm and truly growing through one
  • Identify the roots, values, and beliefs that provide stability when everything else shifts
  • Apply practical strategies for adapting and leading forward when plans fall apart
  • Leave equipped to face future challenges with confidence, clarity, and deeper roots
The storm is coming.
For every organization. Every leader. Every family. Every person.
The question isn't whether the wind will blow.
The question is whether your roots are deep enough to hold.
Bend Don't Break is more than a leadership message. It's a reminder that the strongest people are not those who never face storms — they're the ones who learn how to bend without breaking.

The Willow Kind of Love

Teaching girls to recognize their worth and choose relationships that honor it.

Why This Program Exists

Every girl deserves to know that she is worthy of love that respects, nurtures, and uplifts her. The Willow Kind of Love is a curriculum and workshop experience designed to give young women the language, awareness, and courage to recognize healthy love—and walk away from anything less.

Kim developed this program from her years in law enforcement witnessing the impact of unhealthy relationships—and from her own personal journey. It is honest, practical, compassionate, and transformative.

"The willow tree bends in the storm but never breaks. That's the kind of strength we're building in every girl who walks through our door."
— Kim Drumm

After This Experience, Audiences Will:

  • Build confidence and self-respect.
  • Recognize positive and negative influences.
  • Navigate friendships and social pressures.
  • Set healthy boundaries online and in person.
  • Make safe, confident decisions.
  • Understand that their value comes from who they are — not from likes, followers, or someone else's approval.
